Weather

Update March 13. It’s windy and raining. If we had half a meter of snow, this would be fine, but we don’t. There was only a thin layer of snow before the rain came yesterday, and the rain will therefore ruin the skiing conditions on most of the nearby trails. It’s not just wet snow; there’s water on the trails, and patches of bare ground and gravel are starting to show. If you want to go skiing, you should choose Sogn Snow Park, or start higher up and be prepared for patches of bare ground and water. We can’t groom the trails when it’s this wet, so the trail map won’t provide information on where the best skiing conditions are. Feel free to follow the Facebook groups "Skiføre i Oslo og omegn," "Skiføre i Lillomarka," and "Nordmarka (m/Krokskogen/Lillomarka/Romeriksåsen)." Here, private individuals post information, photos, and videos about the snow conditions that can provide useful insights. We at the City Environment Agency wish you a great trip.
