Weather
Advance notice for weekend week 7 and winter break, City Environment Agency's trail network in Nordmarka: According to Yr's long-term forecast, the stable cold weather will continue. That's great, but we also need more snow. Conditions are good both on cross-country trails and on forest roads, but unfortunately there is some gravel showing through on steep slopes. A lot more snow would be nice, especially to improve the slopes, get better conditions on the cross-country trails, and to be able to groom trails in the city. As always, priority is given to the trails leading to restaurants and cafés – perfect for anyone who wants a bun and hot chocolate during the winter break!
And if you want to swap your skis for skates: skating on Sognsvann is highly recommended! Great conditions! We watered the hockey rink yesterday, February 11, and will probably water it again tomorrow (please leave the rink alone if it has not frozen over). Check the City Environment Agency's Facebook group "Bymiljøetatens skøytebaner i Marka" for information about skating conditions at Sognsvann.
We at the City Environment Agency wish you a great trip and a wonderful winter vacation!
